so technology, huh? i think it's crazy that people can actually make a living being a blogger...
Why do people blog? I don't feel the need to know a person's feelings about every little thing they do. At one time it used to be called keeping a diary or writing a newsletter. And do bloggers support their statement with facts or is it just their opinion?
I think whether or not bloggers support their statements depends on the type of blog. Political blogs and news blogs are completely different than a 12-year-old girl writing about a boy she thinks is cute. I think this hits on all those wonderful ethical challenges and whether or not journalists should use blogs as sources.
I think blogs could be a start to a journalist finding a source, or getting an idea for a story, but I don't think they should actually site blogs as facts. Also, people who blog as a form of a dairy have every right to do so. You don't have to read it if you won't want to.
